Why start a career with Salesforce?

Salesforce has been a pioneer in the cloud industry ever since the cloud industry started growing in early 2000. Why is it so? Why does the market value Salesforce so much?

The principle reason why Salesforce has been gaining so much traction from the beginning is that people want hassle-free experiences across devices. They want to be able to just switch on their device and start working! They don't want the hassle of being limited to a few devices and being able to work only on those devices just because those devices are set up with the correct configuration and the software.

The perfect Idea at the right time

This is when Mark Benioff came up with the idea of "No Software" and moving the traditional software to the cloud so that we can access them whenever & wherever we want. We just need to ensure we have a proper and stable internet connection and we would be good to go!

Also, when we have the software on the cloud, we don't need to worry about expensive hardware to host the software and this is taken care of by the provider.

Growing Demand

Salesforce works on the same principle of being able to offload that traditional software into the cloud. Salesforce has its hardware that runs this software on demand and makes it available online and the companies/organizations that take a subscription don't need to worry about the hardware because that has been taken care of. Moreover, Salesforce can be accessed at any time, anywhere. This is why Salesforce has been gaining so much attention in the market and expanding its reach ever since it's inception.

Due to the ease with which organizations and companies can manage and maintain the relations with their customers using Salesforce, it has been in demand and the demand doesn't seem to be decreasing, rather, it's increasing every year.

More demand than supply

Among other reasons why Salesforce has been booming all these years, there's some edge you get over others if you get into the Salesforce ecosystem. According to a recent study, the Salesforce economy is growing faster than the talent can keep up to the pace. This means, there's a huge amount of demand and there are fewer people to fulfill this demand.

According to the official salesforce website, 3.3M jobs will be created in the Salesforce ecosystem by 2022. This gradually increases the payscale because Salesforce is still not a saturated skill and it's not easy to find Salesforce skill in the market. Henceforth, Salesforce is the #1 tech skill paying about $200K (USD) a year.

Salesforce average salaries

According to the average pay scale of Salesforce talents in the US, the official website reports the below numbers which are definitely better than other technologies in terms of the average pay scale as well.

Stay ahead in the market

Apart from the benefits of the payroll, it also gives you a benefit of staying ahead in the market with new acquisitions in various fields like data science, machine learning, AI, etc. Just to give you a brief background, here are the most important acquisitions by salesforce that pushes Salesforce so much ahead of other technologies in the market that it becomes a very stable and secure technology to be working with and also assures that you'll always be working with the latest innovative technologies:

  1. Tableau
  2. Demandware
  3. Mulesoft
  4. ExactTarget
  5. ClickSoftware
  6. Quip

I have been a part of this Salesforce ecosystem for quite some time now and I've never seen a decline in the demand for Salesforce professionals. It has been increasing since then and now that more and more fortune 500 companies are already using Salesforce, I don't see a point why one might not want to be a part of the Salesforce Ohana.
